سورۃ الرحمٰن — Surah Ar-Rahman
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
1
الرَّحْمَـٰنُ
رحمٰن۔
The Most Merciful.
2
عَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ
اُس نے قرآن سکھایا۔
He taught the Qur’an.
3
خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ
اُس نے انسان کو پیدا کیا۔
He created man.
4
عَلَّمَهُ الْبَيَانَ
اور اُسے اظہارِ کلام سکھایا۔
And taught him eloquence.
5
الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ
سورج اور چاند حساب کے مطابق ہیں۔
The sun and the moon follow a set course.
6
وَالنَّجْمُ وَالشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ
اور ستارے اور درخت سجدہ کرتے ہیں۔
And the stars and the trees prostrate.
7
وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ
اُس نے آسمان کو بلند کیا اور میزان (توازن) قائم کیا۔
And He raised the heaven and established the balance.
8
أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا فِي الْمِيزَانِ
پس توازن میں زیادتی نہ کرو۔
So do not transgress in the balance.
9
وَأَقِيمُوا الْوَزْنَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا الْمِيزَانَ
عدل کے ساتھ وزن رکھو اور توازن میں کمی نہ کرو۔
And establish weight with justice and do not make deficient the balance.
10
وَالْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ
اور زمین کو وہ انسانوں کے لیے بچھا دی۔
And the earth He has laid out for creatures.
11
فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ
اس میں پھل ہیں اور کھجور کے خوشہ دار درخت ہیں۔
In it are fruits and palm trees having sheaths.
12
وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ
اور بھوسے والے دانے اور خوشبودار پھول (ریحان) ہیں۔
And grain having husks and fragrant plants.
13
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
14
خَلَقَ الْإِنسَانَ مِن صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ
اُس نے انسان کو ٹھیکری جیسی خشک مٹی سے بنایا۔
He created man from sounding clay like the potter’s vessel.
15
وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ
اور اس نے جن کو آگ کے شعلے سے پیدا کیا۔
And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
16
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
17
رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
وہ دونوں مشرقوں اور دونوں مغربوں کا مالک ہے۔
He is the Lord of the two sunrises and the Lord of the two sunsets.
18
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
19
مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ
اس نے دو سمندروں کو ملایا جو آپس میں ملتے ہیں۔
He released the two seas, meeting (together).
20
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ
ان کے درمیان ایک پردہ (برزخ) ہے جو انہیں تجاوز نہیں کرنے دیتا۔
Between them is a barrier which they do not transgress.
21
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
22
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ
ان دونوں میں سے موتی اور مرجان نکلتے ہیں۔
From both of them emerge pearl and coral.
23
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
24
وَلَهُ الْجَوَارِ الْمُنشَآتُ فِي الْبَحْرِ كَالْأَعْلَامِ
اور اُسی کے ہیں جہاز جو سمندر میں پہاڑوں کی طرح تیرتے ہیں۔
And to Him belong the ships, with sails raised, in the sea like mountains.
25
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
26
كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ
جو کچھ زمین پر ہے سب فانی ہے۔
Everyone upon the earth will perish.
27
وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
اور صرف تیرے رب کا چہرہ جو صاحبِ جلال اور صاحبِ اکرام ہے باقی رہے گا۔
And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
28
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
29
يَسْأَلُهُ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ
جو کوئی آسمانوں اور زمین میں ہے، سب اس سے سوال کرتے ہیں۔ ہر روز وہ ایک نئی شان میں ہے۔
Everyone in the heavens and on earth asks of Him. Every day He is in a [different] state.
30
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
31
سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ الثَّقَلَانِ
عنقریب ہم تمہاری طرف متوجہ ہوں گے، اے دو گروہ (جن اور انسان)۔
We will attend to you, O heavy beings (jinn and mankind).
32
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
33
يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ
اے جنوں اور انسانوں کے گروہ! اگر تم میں آسمانوں اور زمین کے کناروں سے باہر نکلنے کی طاقت ہے تو نکلو۔ تم نہیں نکل سکتے مگر ایک طاقت (سلطان) کے ذریعے۔
O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by [Our] authority.
34
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
35
يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ
تم دونوں پر آگ کا شعلہ اور دھواں بھیجا جائے گا، پھر تم مدد حاصل نہیں کر سکو گے۔
There will be sent upon you both a flame of fire and [molten] copper, and you will not [be able to] defend yourselves.
36
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
37
فَإِذَا انشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ
پھر جب آسمان پھٹ جائے گا تو تیل کی طرح گلاب بن جائے گا۔
And when the heaven is split, it will become a rose-colored like oil.
38
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
39
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْأَلُ عَن ذَنبِهِ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ
اس دن نہ کسی انسان سے اس کے گناہ کے بارے میں پوچھا جائے گا اور نہ کسی جن سے۔
So on that Day, no man will be asked about his sin or any jinn.
40
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
41
يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِالنَّوَاصِي وَالْأَقْدَامِ
مجرم ان کے چہروں کی نشانیوں سے پہچانے جائیں گے، تو پیشانی اور قدموں سے پکڑ لیے جائیں گے۔
The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.
42
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
43
هَٰذِهِ جَهَنَّمُ الَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا الْمُجْرِمُونَ
یہ وہ جہنم ہے جسے مجرم جھٹلاتے تھے۔
This is the Hell which the criminals deny.
44
يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ آنٍ
وہ اس کے اور کھولتے ہوئے گرم پانی کے درمیان چکر لگاتے رہیں گے۔
They will circulate between it and a boiling hot fluid.
45
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
46
وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِ جَنَّتَانِ
اور اس کے لیے جو اپنے رب کے مقام سے ڈرا، دو جنتیں ہیں۔
But for he who fears the standing before his Lord, there will be two gardens.
47
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
48
ذَوَاتَا أَفْنَانٍ
جو ہری شاخوں والی ہیں۔
Having [each] diverse kinds of trees.
49
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
50
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ
ان دونوں میں دو چشمے بہہ رہے ہیں۔
In both of them are two springs, flowing.
51
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
52
فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَاكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ
ان دونوں میں ہر پھل کی دو دو قسمیں ہیں۔
In both of them are two types of every fruit.
53
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
54
مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍ بَطَائِنُهَا مِن إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى الْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ
وہ ایسے بستروں پر تکیہ لگائے ہوں گے جن کے استر دبیز ریشم کے ہوں گے، اور دونوں جنتوں کے پھل جھک رہے ہوں گے۔
Reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens will be hanging low.
55
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
56
فِيهِنَّ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ
ان میں نیچی نگاہوں والی ہوں گی جنہیں نہ کسی انسان نے ان سے پہلے چھوا ہے اور نہ کسی جن نے۔
In them are women limiting their glances, untouched by man or jinn before them.
57
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
58
كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ
وہ یاقوت اور مرجان جیسی ہوں گی۔
As if they are rubies and coral.
59
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
60
هَلْ جَزَاءُ الْإِحْسَانِ إِلَّا الْإِحْسَانُ
نیکی کا بدلہ نیکی کے سوا اور کیا ہے؟
Is the recompense for good [anything] but good?
61
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
62
وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ
اور ان دونوں کے علاوہ دو اور جنتیں ہیں۔
And below them are two [other] gardens.
63
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
64
مُدْهَامَّتَانِ
وہ دونوں گہرے سبز رنگ کی ہیں۔
Dark green [in color].
65
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
66
فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ
ان دونوں میں دو چشمے ہیں جو خوب ابل رہے ہیں۔
In both of them are two springs, gushing forth.
67
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
68
فِيهِمَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ
ان دونوں میں پھل، کھجوریں اور انار ہیں۔
In both of them are fruits, and palm trees, and pomegranates.
69
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
70
فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَاتٌ حِسَانٌ
ان میں نیک اور خوبصورت عورتیں ہیں۔
In them are good, beautiful women.
71
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
72
حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَاتٌ فِي الْخِيَامِ
خیموں میں روکی ہوئی بڑی آنکھوں والی حوریں۔
Fair ones, with large, beautiful eyes, restrained in pavilions.
73
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
74
لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَانٌّ
ان کو ان سے پہلے کسی انسان اور جن نے نہیں چھوا۔
Untouched by man or jinn before them.
75
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
76
مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِيٍّ حِسَانٍ
وہ سبز مسندوں اور خوبصورت بچھونوں پر تکیہ لگائے ہوں گے۔
Reclining on green cushions and beautiful carpets.
77
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
پس تم اپنے رب کی کن کن نعمتوں کو جھٹلاتے ہو؟
Then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?
78
تَبَارَكَ اسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
تیرے رب کا نام بابرکت ہے جو صاحبِ جلال اور صاحبِ اکرام ہے۔
